This week of my fall break, I spend time learning about the Puerto Rican community. I got to learn some of the key figures of their figures while also learning some of their issues that they are facing now. So this week I drew one of their key figures, Julia de Burgos, who was poetic and also an advocate of Puerto Rico independence. She was also an civil rights activists for women and African/Afro-Caribbean writers.
